Maintenance Technician



Relations and Responsibilities:

 

The Maintenance Assistant – Electrician is primarily responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and electronic facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the resort’s business goals and objectives..

 

Working Hours:            

 

Forty hours per week, normally between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, inclusive of weekends and holidays and at nights in the event of disaster or emergency.


  1. Observe and adhere to all Policies and Procedures as well as the confidentiality policies of the Resort
  2. Observe Safety protocols of the industry and the Resort
  3. Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free work environment.
  4. Safeguard the property of the Resort for you are responsible
  5. Observe communication, Grievance Escalation, Incident Reporting and all other protocols of the Resort
  6. Be punctual to work as scheduled and be prepared to accept assignments and follow instructions in order to perform daily duties.
  7. Maintain professional deportment in dress, hygiene, behaviour and communication at all times.
  8. Evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensuring that Electrical and Electronic facilities meet these needs
  9. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of Electrical and Electronic equipment
  10. Ensure that all electrical appliances throughout the Resort (including in guest rooms) are kept in working order and are safe to use in accordance with IEEE regulations

11. Troubleshoot electrical circuit / equipment problems and repair in an efficient and timely manner, and in accordance with IEEE regulations

12. Fully understand, operate and maintain the resorts desalination plant including cleaning filters, monitoring and recording water quality*

13. Perform at least a weekly evening property walks and replace faulty bulbs. If a particular bulb keeps blowing, troubleshoot and / or replace fitting

  1. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  2. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  3. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  4. Perform any other duties as is reasonably within your scope of practice that may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Management.
